Hot damn! As you may already know by now, The Brownstoner Troll was interviewed on WABC (770 on your AM dial) this morning. He was not at all what I expected, though it's hard to form definite expectations about an anonymous blog poster. I'm not sure what I expected, really, but it wasn't what I heard.
What most fascinated me was the explanation he offered of his actions and his description of his long term goals. Did you hear the interview and, if so, what did you think?

OK--I'll bite. I don't listen to WABC and they don't seem to archive material on their web site.
What is the creep's explanation for his actions, what are his long term goals, and why does he hate PLG so much?
AND...why doesn't he have the balls to answer a simple question?
I heard this. He was weird, but he certainly didn't put on any airs. Basically, he said that trolls sometimes take over a blog and subvert its original and true purpose. The BT says he cruises the web looking for these blogs, and when he finds them he tries to disrupt the intruding trolls and hand the site back over to the people it was taken from. In the case of Brownstoner, in particular, he said he simply wanted to return it to its legitimate readers.
If the creepn REALLY believes he's doing that, he's even sicker than I thought.
But, that is what he's doing. I've been reading Brownstoner for years, and that's precisely his modus operandi.
